Professional Development

Elearning has now reached stage (3) and ElderWorld are at the forefront of its development through interactive blended learning. We accept that in the same way as it is impossible to learn to ride a bike by reading a book there are significant areas of care workers’ training that cannot be adequately covered by e-learning alone.

In the early days, many programmes completely missed this point by attempting to disenfranchise the trainer rather than support them. Our solution is to empower the trainer and amongst other features our programmes will allow managers to:

Purchase courses tailored to their organisation’s needs

  • Conduct forums and Q and A sessions online
  • Answer student questions and address problems
  • Add video clips
  • Upload company documents and hyperlinks to the web
  • Link objectives, marks and certificates from e-learning courses to a current face-to-face study programme
Include custom surveys at the beginning and end of every course. The value of this is in the link to our Information Management System (IMS) which allows data to be collated and used to provide reports for managers and inspectors etc.
  • Produce tailored e-versions of hard copy work booklets. This ensures that printed material is up-to-date and saves on the cost of purchasing booklets. This helps reduce the course’s impact on the environment.

We have a simple 30 min programme on Falls Prevention which can be accessed for free from this web site.
